One week ago, it was Newgrounds' 30th Anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, @MindChamber and I released P-bot's Daily Top Five -- a top-down 3d shooter where the objectives in-game are the very same daily winners on the website!
So far the game has been well received, with a clear desire from reviews for more polish. We couldn't agree more!
We wanted to give a road map of the game's near future. If you've been enjoying the game, but wish there was more, this is for you. Here are the updates we're working on now:
1.0.5 - Quality of Life, Polish, and Visual Update:
Coming soon this Month!
This update has many changes, which are mostly visuals, sounds and some other well needed polish that was planned, but fell behind in favor of getting the game released on the anniversary. For example:
- Controller Support
- Optimizing texture and file sizes
- Adding unused visual effects (goo bombs, animations, menu and UI effects)
- Options menu for sound, visual and control customization
- Bug fixes!
1.1 - Major Content Update
Coming not this month! But likely next month!
This will be some big additions to gameplay:
- A new boss to defeat after saving the last DTF
- Cutscenes that will play in cool places!
- New and Updated animations
- New weapons
- And More!
Lastly, we are resetting the High Score leader board (not waves), because I was dumb!
During the first 2 days of the games release, I made peoples individual scores add to their existing entry, instead of taking the highest value.
Oops!
But to honor those who played when it was like that, here are the scores as they are now before they get Blamed :)
Congratz @Tamag0, you are the official top G of the game's first two days :P
Thanks for playing so far, and stay tuned for the first update, coming soon!
